Tailor-made Training

As the name suggests, TaylorMade Training and Consulting (TMTC) is committed to tailor-made training solutions to meet your organisation’s needs.  Not subscribing to the ‘one training package fits all’ approach, training can be delivered at the introductory through to advanced learning levels.  

 

The training needs identification process includes:

  • understanding of your organisation’s core business, mission, values and services provided

  • understanding of the service users and the context in which your workers engage with them

  • your organisation’s learning and development needs

  • current skill and knowledge base of workers

  • time available for training

 

In-house training at your organisation is the preferred training delivery model as it ensures that the training is specific and relevant to your organisation while maximising learning outcomes.

 

Renowned for delivering at the highest professional standards, TMTC training is based on

  • the latest research and thinking in suicide prevention, postvention and wellbeing

  • adult learning principles

  • sound clinical practice

  • and the applied learningsgained from extensive practical experience working in the field.

 

From the pre-trainiing consultation through to the post-training debrief, TMTC will work closely with you at all stages of the training development and delivery.​ 

Stages in training development and delivery

  1. Initial conversation with training client​

  2. Client completes training needs from

  3. 2nd conversation with client to confirm the details in the training needs form

  4. Training proposal with draft training curriculum sent to client

  5. Client provides feedback and amendments

  6. Final proposal and curriculum sent to client for sign off

  7. Training delivered

  8. Post training quality assurance feedback sheet sent to client

  9. Debrief conversation where client provides feedback on the training 

If requested, TMTC is able to undertake a training needs assessment or skills audit to inform the development of the training program.  These have been undertaken in a range of organisations from small community based organisations through to large government departments.

Qualifications

Training can also be adapted to ensure it meets the requirements of Assessment Standards in the NZQA framework. In particular, but not exclusively, it will meet the requirements for the following two qualifications:

 

NQF 0825 National Certificate in Social Service Work in Suicide Intervention (Level 4)

NQF 0826 National Certificate in Social Service Work in Suicide Intervention (Level 6)

Training Modules
TaylorMade Training and Consulting has an extensive suite of training modules in the areas of suicide prevention, postvention and wellbeing. These modules have been developed and refined over thirty years and are regularly audited by external technical experts and updated to ensure the content is based on the latest evidence and thinking. The modules can be delivered as either a stand alone workshop or can be adapted and components included in a composite workshop.  All modules have been consistently evaluated by participants as either excellent or very good in terms of content , relevance and delivery. ​
